Administrative Assistant, Sue Stebbins

I started attending First Baptist in 2001. My husband, Rich, and I had tried many churches in the area and this was the one that made the biggest impression on us. Immediately, the people of the church were friendly, warm, inviting and engaging. I loved the stained glass window right away and felt blessed by seeing that sight each week. Truly the Lord is right here with me.

I became administrative assistant to Pastor Maggie in June of 2018, and I am so happy to be here. I love this job! I have many years of experience in the field of customer service. I also did exporting of electronic equipment to many countries and enjoyed learning new information about those places. I was a travel agent for about a year or so, too. I have gained a wide variety of experiences and am ready to contribute my services to FBC. I love the people here and they are family.

One of my passions is working with the Anne Marie House transitional housing program since it began in 2002. I love to travel and the hope is that when Rich retires next April, we can start traveling to see more of the USA and the world. I enjoy girls' weekends, reading, walking, corn hole, cooking and trying new things. And I love hanging with family and friends doing cook outs, games and all kinds of fun things.

Rich and I have been married almost 44 years and are pet parents to a dog named Hannah. She is 9 years old and is the best thing that has ever happened to us! She is so unconditional in her love and is right there when you need her. Another sign of God in my life.

Sue is in the church office Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (except holidays). Summer hours for the months of June through August, she will be in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Sexton, George Cernuda

George Cernuda, a longtime member of First Baptist Church, emigrated from Cuba to Miami as a boy, along with his younger brother, in 1962. His family eventually settled in Nashua the following year.

George recently retired from the Nashua School System after 16 years. He lives in Nashua with his wife, Betty. George is the proud father of three daughters and devoted grandfather to five boys and one girl. While we can't say for sure he's never missed a game that one of his grandkids has played in, we know he has been to most of them!

In his spare time, George loves to do woodworking and tackling landscaping projects.
