Administrative Assistant, Jan Miller
Jan, a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church, came out of retirement to join the staff as administrative assistant in June of 2015. The FBC church family is a second family to Jan, who cannot think of a better place to work. “Customer service was my favorite part of owning my own company, and supporting Pastor Maggie will be wonderful!” says Jan, who enjoys dealing with the public and managing the front office. In addition to serving as administrative assistant, she is the church treasurer and coordinator of the fall and Christmas fairs.
Jan lives in Amherst with Ernie, her husband of 39 years. They have two children and two [amazing!] grandchildren. Gardening, canning, reading, “crafting,” boating, and whitewater rafting are Jan’s favorite pastimes; she and Ernie have rafted in Chile, Peru, Africa, Costa Rica, and the Grand Canyon.
Jan is in the church office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (except holidays). From June 29 – August 28, she will be in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
