Thank you for finding us!

We wish you and our friends of all faiths a wonderful holiday season. If you'd like to participate in some of what First Baptist is doing for Christmas, we offer you the following:

Winter Solstice Service Friday, December 21, 5 p.m. This is the longest night of the year and the beginning of Winter. It's also a reminder that a few long, cold, dark months are ahead of us, with seemingly no end in site. Some of us are feeling sad at this time of year, grieving losses of loved ones, feeling anxious about the future, or overwhelmed by all that life asks of us.This Winter Solstice service will give us an opportunity to mourn the losses and embrace whatever feelings we are experiencing, to turn them over to God and believe that all will be well.

Christmas Sunday Worship Sunday, December 23, 10:30 a.m.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, December 24, 7 p.m. Lessons and carols, special music and candlelight mark this annual event.

Who are we at First Baptist? We're a diverse faith community traveling together on an amazing spiritual journey. We don't claim to be perfect but we do have a passion for caring about others and making a difference. We love children and believe that they are not only the future of the church but also the church now. We have a long tradition of standing up for issues of justice and equality and proudly proclaim that we are an open and inclusive community.

You see, we're not the typical Baptist church! If you have more questions than answers, if you believe that God continues to inform and guide us, and if you feel called to act justly and love mercy, come and see us.

It will be our pleasure to welcome you!
